WHAT WE OFFER FOR SPOKANE RESIDENTS

ALL SERVICES ARE FREE and AVAILABLE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE

FOOD CENTER

Our Free Fresh Food Market is open for anyone who is hungry, no documentation needed.

Join us during service to choose food items you can use from our free outdoor market!

Wednesdays 3:30 - 6 PM or Thursdays 10 AM -12:30 PM

The Last Saturday of each Month 10 AM - 12:30 PM

OUTDOORS

PERSONAL HYGIENE CENTER

As supply allows, folks are welcome to choose 5 items. Depending on donations, we offer items such as shampoo, soap, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, makeup, & more!

Please help us reuse plastic water bottles! Bring back 5 already labeled bottles or a bag of fresh water bottles and get a 6th item choice as recognition!

CLOTHING & HOUSEWARES

Clothing and household items are available to anyone in need. We have things like clothes, dishes, blanket & towels, and our supply can change at a moment's notice as donations come in!

Check out our limits list upon entry to see what we are asking folks to limit themselves to so that we may be able to help as many people as possible!

LAUNDRY CENTER

We have a newly-renovated Laundry Center that is available on a first come, first served basis.

Opens 9AM Tues & Thurs, & 2PM Weds. Last load must be in by 10:45AM Tues, 4:45PM Weds, and 11:15AM Thurs. 

Households of 1-2 people may do up to 2 loads/week; households of 3+ people may do up to 3 loads/week

GREEN DOOR

AVISTA ASSISTANCE

Once per year, Our Place can provide Avista assistance of up to $300 for West Central residents (West Central defined in the map below)

To request help, Call on the first Tuesday of the month with your account number ready to share !      509-326-7267

BUS PASSES

Our Place offers a limited amount of day bus passes during service on a first come, first serve basis through our Food Center.

We unfortunately no longer have a monthly bus pass program, as STA is no longer offering this option.

Starting Thursday, April 17, 2025, we will have showers available at Our Place through Jewels Helping Hands' Mobile Shower Unit!

Available Thursdays, 9:00 AM - 2:00PM

The mobile shower is fully equipped and offers the following:

  • Clean, private showers

  • Fresh clothing

  • Towels and hygiene kits

  • Snacks and beverages

  • Bus passes for transportation

Our Place Cares about Inclusivity

Our Place’s emergency relief services are happily human powered by a women-led team of volunteers and part-time staff who come from all walks of life. We embrace inclusive language and attitudes as our team welcomes anyone in need!

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

Weather Policy

For the safety of our neighbors and our team, our services may be abbreviated or closed when the temperatures drop BELOW 15 degrees or get ABOVE 95 degrees. 

Zero Tolerance Policy

Our Place is a drug- and alcohol-free zone. The safety of our volunteers, neighbors, and staff is our highest priority. 

We have  zero-tolerance policy for all forms of harassment, including but not limited to: Abusive language, Aggressive behavior, Inappropriate comments (sexual or otherwise), Physical assault, Threats, Weapons or Sharp objects.

Incidents may result in removal from the premises and suspension of access to Our Place's services to up to one year.
